ENTORNO DOÑANA
HORSE RIDING CENTER

About us
We teach horse riding for all levels and adapt the classes to the needs and abilities of our students, respecting their learning pace and accompanying their personal goals. We like to make our students aware of the well-being and respect of horses, so we also provide classes on how to take care of animals.
We are a small team made up of qualified professionals from the equestrian world (sports technicians, veterinarians, equine therapists).
• Our horses: horses and ponies for all levels and ages, some of our own, others boarded
• Dogs, cats, and others…
Ana Vélez Higuera
Manager
After getting to know the equestrian world as a horse owner and having gone through several riding centres, I decided that my professional career would be in this exciting world. I started as a stable girl in a center where I gained a lot of experience until ending up as co-director of the riding school.
These six years were intensive training: I learned just as much from the horses, the veterinarians, the owners, the ranchers and from an innumerable number of students who still have the same passion for the horse world.
My philosophy since then is to awaken this passion and create people "of horses", which goes far beyond competition or traditional riding.
This experience led me, more than 25 years ago, to look for and create a special place where the care and freedom of our animals are paramount, a place where people and horses can relate, learn to communicate, interpret, and simply be.

Participating in the center Environment Doñana has allowed me to combine one of my passions since childhood: horses; with my professional work dedicated to environmental management and waste prevention.
Since I joined the center, we are incorporating the principles of zero residue and respect for the environment, both in performances with the way we work with our horses and with our restaurant.
We trust that this philosophy that permeates our work is shared by the people who visit us and share time and space with us.
Marie Sabatier
Riding teacher
After having spent most of my life around horses, taking care of my neighbors' horses when I was a child, I decided to dedicate my life to these wonderful animals. I decided that what I wanted to do was to pass on my knowledge and hobby to others.
I had my first professional experiences with horses in France before moving to Spain to associate the two things I like the most: horses and languages.
These years have taught me to develop patience and the ability to work with all kinds of audiences, both children and adults.
In Doñana, we think it is essential to teach our students respect and care for horses and nature. I speak fluent Spanish, French and English, so I can welcome and guide a wide variety of nationalities.

I have been part of the Doñana team and taken care of the horses here for 6 years.
I am in daily contact with the horses and other animals on the farm to ensure their well-being.
One of my goals is to provide security to enhance mutual trust between horses and participants.
I also collaborate in all activities with children and adults, especially as a therapy assistant for people with special needs.
